JOINING INSTRUCTION
The school management has a pleasure to inform and invite you to join St. Teresia wa Avila Pre & Primary school for the academic year 2024/2025.
Applicants are invited for Pre & Primary classes (Nursery & class 1-4) also day care school for pupils of 3 years of age.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
St. Teresia wa Avila Pre & Primary school is a private owned school under Catholic Church Arch-diocese of Dar Es Salaam, with registration number EM: 19339.
It is a day school that accommodates both boys and girls.
All subjects are taught in English except Kiswahili which is spoken and taught during the specific period.
We invite pupils of all kind regardless of their religion, denomination, tribe or ethnic regions.
SCHOOL LOCATION
St. Teresia wa Avila Pre & Primary school, is a day school located at Kibwegere-Kibambo, Ubungo municipal
Dar Es Salaam city. It is 4 Km from Dar–Morogoro highway along Kibwegere road.
ADMISSION POLICY
Before a pupil is enrolled in Nursery or Primary section, the pupil and parent must attend an interview with the school leadership.
Records of the previous school must be presented and the pupil must be tested for academic performance.
Successful completion of the interview procedures, a birth certificate and 3 passport size photos will be submitted for registration purpose (This applies for all new pupils)
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
A pupil is supposed to have two pairs of school uniforms – grey skirts and yellow shirts and socks for girls and grey shorts and yellow shirts and socks for boys, a pair of sports wear & T-shirt and black shoes.
Other school uniforms are black shoes, grey socks & white rubber shoes and white socks.
- Boys: white shirts (inside & socks, T-shirts and black shorts are worn on Wednesday and Friday).
- The school uniforms and sports wear are available at school at 125,000 shillings.
TEXTBOOKS
It is a requirement for every pupil who joins the school from Pre Unit class and above to buy or rent for textbooks of the respective classes.
Parents can collect a list of textbooks needed from the office of the school whereby they can pay in cash at school.
Note: the text books will remain the property of the pupil.
TRANSPORT
The school has reliable transport which is paid on quarterly basis. The cost is 100,000/= for pupils residing near the 400,000/= per year (This applies for pupils residing within 5KM radius)
For pupils residing within 8 KM and above, the cost is 130,000/= per term with the annual total of 520,000/= shillings per year.
